SwissQuests is developing a next-generation Powered Wheelchair Simulation, rebuilt from scratch to ensure full ownership, scalability, and market readiness. Building on the validation of the earlier prototype, this new version combines cutting-edge simulation technology with data-driven insights to create a safer, more engaging training environment for patients and a powerful validation tool for engineers and OEMs. Key features include realistic physics based on actual motor data, support for all input devices (joysticks, head controls, sip-and-puff, etc.), and gamified training modules that reduce patient fear and accelerate rehabilitation outcomes. In addition, the system collects and analyzes driving behavior data, enabling early detection of risks and long-term support even after rehabilitation. Our vision is to establish the Powered Wheelchair Simulation as an industry standard: empowering patients with independence, easing the workload of therapists, and enabling OEMs to increase adoption while differentiating their products in a competitive market.
